Android Device manager is now available: Locate your android smartphone remotely

A few days ago, Google introduced a new tool for devices with Android mobile operating system: Android Device Manager, which allows us to find our device through Google Maps in case of loss or theft, and also delete the data if necessary. Shortly after the announcement by Google, Android Device Manager is available for our devices and we can access the web application to locate our device.

Finally, Google begins to worry about the security of their devices, a concern that had started long ago, Google is also in the wake of Apple which introduced a virtually identical feature in iOS called Find My iPhone .

Today, smartphones are not only an important part of our daily communication, but also allow us access to a variety of applications and save documents and information relevant to employment. This means that in case of loss or theft, we must have to worry about the security of our data, proceed to change passwords, and more.
With Android Device Manager, we will be able to perform three specific actions:

  1. locate the device via GPS, marking the exact location on Google Maps.
  2. We will be able to activate an alarm will sound on the device, for example, to find it when you get lost in a house.
  3. In case of loss or theft, we will delete all files and data stored on your phone remotely.

The arrival of Android Device Manager seems excellent news, and in our tests it worked very well (try not to be at work if they test the alarm to not cause a scene). The security of our data, at least for Android users, should be a priority considering the many bugs that were discovered security in recent times.

Basically, you have already got Android Device Manager for our terminals: all features are available from the user's Google account. It is available for all those with an Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system or later, many of the low-end users, medium and high. To access the tool, you need to be connected from the web to the Google account associated with the device, and  then you can access the Android Device Manager from Android section of your account, or this link.

Be very careful with the application WhatsApp and new contacts, as it has found a virus named Priyanka. The said virus renames all contacts with 'Priyanka' without the user can avoid it.
WhatsApp is one of the most used application by mobile phone users, WhatsApp, an instant messaging service that probably everyone know, so we should be alert to the application, as it was discovered a virus called 'Priyanka', and functions to change the behalf of all the contacts you have stored on your phone, without the user can avoid all the renaming Priyanka.

How this virus Priyanka works in WhatsApp? When the user receives a new chat message from a contact  name Priyanka and decide to add as a friend on your phonebook,  since the time it is added to your phonebook application, it gets started and infects all your contacts, which are now are now called Priyanka (as you can see in the picture accompanying this post), then comes the confusion and the user does not know what to do, is it or not?

How to solve this problem?

If you or one of your friend is having same problem then tell them that to protect from it, you have to be very careful and not to add any unknown contacts or if you see that something is wrong or suspicious, you should use any good anti-virus. Maybe some of you already have the virus, but it didn't stopped this virus then what can they do? First Take care of deleting the contact Priyanka, then please go to the device settings and then 'Applications', here 'force stop' WhatsApp and delete the data. Don't forget to recover your contacts from Google contacts.

WhatsApp is now a days has become the biggest communication platform for people. As the use of WhatsApp has increased, the security problems also arised, for this reason, i have bring to you today, a app called as "Lock for WhatsApp", which will be providing a better security fro your WhatsApp app.

Lock for WhatsApp allows you to set up a pattern as well as a password, there are two options available for you to choose the one you like.

Lock for WhatsApp is free to install completely and then you can place a common password with numbers and letters, and then a pattern based on 9 circles. Only combinations can be made in this, you can remove or add more circles.

The problem with this application is that you must accept the terms to use, like many other things, but these are invasive, demanding that will change the home page in your browser, add a bookmark in the browser and a new icon on the screen the Home for searching. In this way they make money but can be unpleasant and a con for some.

Fortunately, some of the online services we use every day, we can use low encrypted connections, giving us greater security when transmitting data. Still, many remain transmit data unencrypted, so if you want to add more security to our Internet connections, we can expect it from now Spotflux.
This is an encryption plugin for browsers in Windows and Mac OS X, and we just download and install the application, which will encrypt all data broadcasting of our web connections through their VPN servers.

Thus, Spotflux adds more privacy and security, especially if you usually connect to open wireless networks, so that we can buy in online stores, read news from different sources, check bank statements, among other operations, more secure, protecting us from any malicious application that we could sneak into our computer.

At the time came to be called RaptorVPN, although Spotflux is a name easier to remember, now available for PC and Mac, and later delve into mobile connections.

Hello there! Most of you are quite confused with which Antivirus software to use for your PC security. Personally, i am using this antivirus and i must say this is the best till date.  Kaspersky Antivirus often treated as the best available Antivirus application and has a special version for file servers. Kaspersky has different types of versions and different types of softwares, you can chose any of them according to your need. It covers almost all sections needed for a top class security. Kaspersky provides hourly virus definition update to keep you up-to-date so that your anti-virus will be always alert against all the types of threats.

BitDefender is one of the best antivirus with top class defending ability. It provides hourly definition updates for latest threats. BitDefender comes with P2P File Sharing and Registry Startup Protection but lacks Email scanning.

Trend Micro is a well-known and popular antivirus with Spyware and Adware Protection. It has some great features including Remote File Lock that safeguards your private files in case your laptop is lost or stolen. But lacks P2P File Sharing and Registry Startup Scanning.

Norton Antivirus is one of the most popular and well-known antivirus application. The latest version has the ability to map your wireless home network and safeguards your wi-fi networks. Recently Norton has introduced a special version for gaming PCs known as Norton 2009 Gaming Edition. It comes with daily virus definition update but no support for P2P File Sharing and Registry Startup Protection.

McAfee is one of the leading antivirus in security industry. McAfee introduced 2 features ScriptStopper and WormStopper. But it has no support for P2P File Sharing, Instant Messenger and Registry Startup. The inbuilt updater updates virus definitions on a regular basis to keep your up-to-date.
This list is of my own, but these are some of the best AntiViruses available. You can try one of them to secure your PC from dangerous threats and viruses like trojan.
